2025-26 AMCC Softball News

Groll led the Panthers to a 5-1 week, including a pair of AMCC sweeps over Hilbert and Pitt-Greensburg. From the leadoff spot, she hit .556 with a home run, 11 runs scored, four RBI, and three stolen bases. She really made her mark in conference play, where she slashed .643/.706/1.143 with 10 runs scored, four extra base hits (including a home run), four RBI, and two stolen bases. She also made plays all over the outfield, totaling 23 putouts and two outfield assists.

Tingley went 3-0 this week in the circle, posting a 2.10 ERA in 13.1 innings pitched. She registered a pair of wins at La Roche on Saturday, winning the opener in a complete game and then came in relief for the win in game two. For the week, she struck out nine and only allowed four earned runs.

Cloak hit .520 over seven games last week, as the Bobcats went 5-2. Cloak registered an on base of .571 and a 1.000 slugging percentage. She collected 13 hits, including six for extra bases and three home runs. Cloak drove in 10 runs while scoring 12 of her own, while not striking out at all in 27 plate appearances. She had a three home run day against conference foe Mount Aloysius.

Koptcho put together a strong week in the circle, going 2-1 with a 1.31 ERA across three starts while tossing 16.0 innings and striking out 16. She opened the week with a 10-strikeout complete game at Penn College and followed with two wins in the sweep at Alfred State, allowing just one earned run over 10.0 innings. Koptcho also reached the 300-career strikeout milestone in game one against Alfred State. In conference play for the Week, Koptcho went 2-0, giving up just one earned run and striking out six for a 0.70 ERA.

Jones tallied 13 hits, including six doubles to go with eight RBI while scoring eight runs in a 5-1 week for the Lions. Jones, on a six-game hitting streak, tallied multiple hits in four games. She tallied three hits in three games and registered a double in all but one. Against Pitt-Bradford, Jones was 6-for-9 with five RBIs, four runs and two doubles.

Tingley registered a win and a save in a pair of wins over Mt. Aloysius on Friday. She recorded her 250th career strikeout in game one, fanning a total of nine batters and allowing two hits for the shutout win. Tingley came in relief in game two, striking out all three batters she faced in the seventh inning to preserve the 6-4 win. Tingley recorded 12 strikeouts on the week (10.50 k/7 average) while registering a 0.00 ERA.

Wade had a dominant week at the plate this past week, as she helped lift the Redhawks to a 3-1 mark in AMCC play. In the opener against Mt. Aloysius, Wade went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and a pair of RBI. She followed in game two with a 3-for-4 showing, hitting two more doubles, scored two runs and drove in one. In Friday's doubleheader against Hilbert, Wade was nearly impossible to get out. In game one, she went 5-for-6 with a double, two runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base, followed by yet another 5-for-6 outing in game two, with two more doubles, three runs scored and four more RBI. For the week, Wade finished with a .750 batting average (15-for-20), a 1.050 slugging percentage, six doubles, eight runs scored and drove 10 RBI.

Nau combined to go 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in starts last week against non-conference opponent McDaniel and AMCC foe Hilbert. Nau tossed two complete games, including a shutout of the Hawks, and pitched 11 innings while recording three strikeouts. In her AMCC victory over Hilbert, Nau pitched the complete game, giving up zero runs on two hits while recording two strikeouts and no walks.

Clement went 4-for-6 with a pair of home runs, six RBI, four runs scored, and two walks in the Panthers' sweep of Mount Aloysius on Sunday. In the opener, she reached in all four plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks, a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. In the nightcap, she was 2-for-4 with four RBI, including a three-run home run, which gave Pitt-Bradford the lead for good.

Koptcho turned in a dominant week in the circle, highlighted by a no-hitter in the Mounties’ 3-0 win over SUNY Poly. The complete-game shutout marked the first no-hitter of her collegiate career, as she struck out 13 and allowed just three walks. Koptcho went 2-1 with two complete games, posting a 1.24 ERA and 23 strikeouts over 17 innings. She limited opponents to just seven hits all week.

Henninger turned in a standout all-around week at the plate, leading the Mounties with a .556 average (15-for-27) while scoring eight runs and driving in six. The shortstop was a constant presence offensively, recording hits in every game and tallying multiple multi-hit performances. Her week was highlighted by a pair of four-hit games, including a 4-for-5, five-RBI effort against Maine-Presque Isle, while also adding three triples and a double.

Bentley recorded a 3-2 record in the circle, appearing in six of eight games for the Hawks. Two of her three wins were complete games, as she compiled 21.2 innings of work on the week, striking out six and walking seven.

Best had a big week at the plate and in the circle for the Lions, who capped off their Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic trip by going 6-2 across their last eight games. The junior combined to hit .462 (12-for-26) with 15 RBI, 12 runs scored, four doubles, four walks, one triple, one home run, and one stolen base. Best compiled a .548 on-base percentage and a .808 slugging percentage while collecting 21 total bases. In the circle, she went 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA. In a win over Mitchell, she got the start and finished with a no-decision after going three innings and allowing just one run on two hits and three walks with one strikeout. The junior came into Wednesday's win over Martin Luther in relief to pick up the victory, tossing 2 1/3 spotless innings in her appearance. Best then got the start and pitched a complete game in Thursday's win over Valley Forge, yielding only two hits, one run, and no walks while striking out 11 batters. On the week, Best was 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA and a .57 WHIP while pitching 12 1/3 innings and striking out 12 batters.

Nau made three appearances, two starts, in the pitching circle for the Lions, as they started the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic this week. The junior went 1-1 with two complete games, a 2.69 ERA, 13 innings pitched, and seven strikeouts.

Best combined to hit .600 (6-for-10) with a double, a triple, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk in the first four games of the Lions' trip competing in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. Best also registered a .636 on-base percentage and a .900 slugging percentage on the week.
